Hi there! I'm Aly; mother of 3 and wife of 8 years, currently residing in Cold Lake, AB. I am a board certified holistic nutrition professional, and founder of Nourish Naturally.
I'm passionate about non-toxic and sustainable living, functional foods, personal growth and healing. I love to cook and get creative in the kitchen, often experimenting and developing recipes of my own with the help of my family of taste testers.
I've had a lifelong passion for food and nutrition, and in recent years, I've became passionate about self healing and mental/emotional wellness. I've worked as a Dietary Aid in hospitals and long term care, and various other food service establishments. My experience coupled with my education in holistic nutrition has led me to launch my home-based nutrition consulting business. My goal is to help others by sharing my knowledge of natural nutrition and bio-individuality.
My own personal health journey has evolved over the years with my share of struggles. I have lived with symptoms such as digestive issues, brain fog, chronic fatigue, postpartum depression, anxiety, hormonal adult acne, sleep disturbances, extreme PMS, crippling sore joints and more... Even with my best efforts, I was struggling. I lacked the knowledge and understanding of what MY body needed.
Fast forward to now, and what I have learned is that nutrition, lifestyle, and mental/emotional states can ALL impact how your body feels and functions. What we eat AND how we feel, can contribute to illness or wellness. Once I began listening to what my body was trying to tell me and started doing the work to give it what it needed, my symptoms finally began to resolve.
Because of my own struggles, I know what it's like to not feel like yourself; and I know that it's possible to take control of your health (and your life), and feel good again.
I look forward to meeting, and guiding you on your personal health journey towards optimal wellness.
